Some of the best beaches can be found on the south of the Island between Kardamena and Kefalos. Eating out is a joy as there are so many restaurants to choose from. There is an 'eatery' to suit everyone's taste and budget. There are also numerous bars and nightclubs - situated mainly in Kos Town and Kardamena.
With it's mild climate, Kos boasts sunny days throughout the year. The temperatures can reach up to 35-40 degress in the height of the summer, during July and August, but there is usually a gentle breeze to keep you cool. The sea is fresh and clear, ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
If you head to the neighbouring island of Kalymnos or Pserimos, there is even chance you will see dolphins swimming alongside the boat. The rainy season usually starts in November, but the odd rainfall has been known in the middle of the summer, to the delight of the locals!"
