This stunning historic building offers superb photographic opportunities especially as it is just a stone's throw from the Medieval Castle which dominates the harbour area. The Castle of Neratzia at the entrance of the port was constructed by the Knights of St John who dominated the island in the 14th and 15th centuries, to replace the much older Byzantine castle. One of the more recent monuments, where most couples like to have their photos, is the bridge that connects the medieval castle with the area of Hippocrates' plane tree, another favourite photographic location. This bustling harbourfront is lined with an avenue of palm-trees, offsetting the clear blue skies and the shimmering sea of the Aegean.
Arrive in style at Kos Town Hall by speedboat or horse and carriage. You will find all the locals will stop to clap and shout greetings of 'sigharitiria' – 'congratulations' to the happy couple.
Your wedding ceremony will be conducted by the Deputy Mayor and the Registrar and one of the Kosweddingart.com team, will translate the ceremony into English for you.
While our wedding couples are having their final photographs taken, there are many harbourside cafes where your guests can relax and cool down with an ice cold beer or soft drinks and soak up the Greek sun and busy atmosphere of this international harbour, before heading to your chosen wedding reception venue.
